Sometimes a woman just deserves a little lux in her life. Picture this: after a hard-fought battle on the course, where victory slipped through my hands in a card-off at the annual member-guest tournament, I found solace in the embrace of the pro-shop. There amidst the array of golf apparel I laid eyes on my consolation prize. A very cool pair of G/FORE shoes. I immediately put them on and with each step into luxury, the pain of defeat faded away.
I am not condoning a luxury lap for each missed victory. For those of you that know me, I am a “never pay retail” kind of girl. But should the need arise, via impulse, everyday lifestyle, or an upcoming tax return, let me share with you my curated list of luxury brands that have earned a spot in my wardrobe. If you can get them on sale, even better!
I am listing in alphabetical order, and not by preference. Some are up and comers. They are all amazing.
First up, there’s Bogner, a name synonymous with timeless elegance. I used to think of Bogner as ski-luxury but these days they call themselves “athluxury” to cover lots of sporting pursuits. The prestige of Bogner has not let up over the years since the company’s inception in 1932. Today, there’s a dedicated campaign on their website tailored to women’s golf apparel. Couture has hit the links. Some of my favorites are the Sevina Stretch Pants ($290), Ameila Polo ($220) and Yuni Visor ($90).

For those who dare to be bold, G/FORE is the ultimate destination. With its disruptive luxury ethos, G/FORE injects a dose of color and modernity into every piece, from edgy polos to statement-making shoes. Polos start at $120 and hats with attitude, like “Pray for Birdies” in bold letters for $45. If I am the recipient of a G/FORE shopping spree, I am heading directly to the shoe department. My recent self-purchased prize was the MG4X2 Knit Hybrid Golf Cross Trainer ($195).

J.Lindeberg epitomizes Scandinavian chic with its sleek designs and minimalist aesthetic. Founded in Stockholm 28 years ago, they have not lost sight of their contemporary customers. Each piece is a masterpiece of contemporary fashion, effortlessly blending style and performance on the course. Shown below is the Adina Print Skirt ($165), the PIP Polo ($85) and the Vilma Visor ($55) – all logoed quite nicely.

Lohla Sport brings a touch of European flair infused with California attitude. Founded by Lisa O’Hurley, this newcomer has quickly risen through the ranks with its classy yet statement making ensembles. Even Annika Sorenstam signed on as a global ambassador. I wore a Lohla last week in my club’s member-member tournament to many compliments and a win. Coordinating tops and skorts from $130-$160.

Peter Millar remains a beacon of sophistication, offering refined golf apparel crafted from premium fabrics and impeccable tailoring. From cashmere sweaters to performance pants, every garment exudes luxury. Pictured below is their Stuart Short Sleeve Collared Performance Sweater ($175) with mother of pearl buttons, partnered with the Surge Performance Ankle Pant ($160).

Ralph Lauren’s RLX line strikes the perfect balance between classic elegance and modern design. Whether it is their iconic polo shirts or packable hood jackets, Ralph Lauren delivers timeless style with a contemporary twist. I am highlighting their Hybrid Packable Hood Jacket ($298) with a zipper enclosure for the stowaway hood and a draw at the waist.

Royal Albatross elevates golf footwear to new heights with its British-designed handcrafted shoes. With a nod to streetwear edge, each pair is a testament to supreme craftsmanship and style. I experienced my first pair as a tee prize gift at a tournament two years ago and it is the best event gift I can recall. My next luxury shoe buy will be the Royal Albatross “Queen of Clubs” ($270) with its black and white bi-color palette and club symbol on the back. I will wear these when I play poker too.

WAAC, or Win at All Costs, is the epitome of South Korean chic. With its upscale offerings, this trendy brand is set to make waves in the world of golf fashion, as evidenced by their printed pleats green dress ($300). LIV Golf's Kevin Na sports their men’s line. They may not be easy to find in stores or pro-shops and it may take a little sleuthing to find them online. But trust me, you will see more of this company.

Last, but not least, WesTees by Nailed Golf exudes elegance and sophistication with their handmade shoes crafted from Italian leather. Comfort meets style at every step. I own two pairs and can confirm they feel as good as they look at $299 a pair. I easily walk eighteen holes in them.
