This past weekend, Team USA took on Team Europe at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, Netherlands, in the 20th Solheim Cup. Despite the agonizing defeat, fans should still be proud of Team USA for how they fought and represented the country throughout the championship. SoCal fans would've had a little extra motivation to tune in, with one-third of the team made up of SoCal natives: Alison Lee (Los Angeles), Andrea Lee (Los Angeles), Angel Yin (Los Angeles) and Rose Zhang (Arcadia).
Alison Lee
Alison Lee had a record-breaking weekend at the 20th Solheim Cup. Qualifying for the team through the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings, Lee was a key contributor for Team USA throughout the championship. In her Sunday singles match, Lee made history as the first woman in Solheim Cup history to come back from 4-down and win a match, doing it with seven holes to play. On top of this, Lee set another record as the first golfer to go 4-0-0 over the course of the championship while playing for the losing side. All in all, it was a pretty spectacular weekend for Alison Lee.
Andrea Lee
Making her third Solheim Cup appearance at Bernardus Golf, the two-time SCGA Women's Amateur Champion was part of a large contingent of the 2024 winning squad who were making their return to the team in 2026. Lee would pick up her sole point of the championship in the Saturday fourball session, teaming up with Yealimi Noh to take down a loaded Team Europe squad featuring Lottie Woad and Charley Hull 1-up.
Angel Yin
For Angel Yin, 2026's championship marked her fourth career appearance in the Solheim Cup, making her debut back in 2017 as an 18-year-old captain's pick. Yin would only feature twice over the course of the weekend, tying her Friday fourball match against the familiar team of Hull and Woad before dropping her Sunday singles match to Linn Grant.
Rose Zhang
Making her third appearance in the Solheim Cup as a captain's pick, Rose Zhang joined the 2026 team off the back of playing a major part in Team USA's 2024 Solheim Cup triumph. The 2020 U.S. Women's Amateur Champion featured in all but one of the sessions over the course of the championship, picking up two big points with wins in the Saturday afternoon session and Sunday singles matches.
